Lacey Cruse
Counseling Intern, Master’s Candidate in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, she/her/hers
Sometimes life cracks you open, and that’s not always a bad thing. Whether you're unraveling old stories, rebuilding after loss, or navigating a major life shift, I believe healing starts when we stop pretending we’re fine and start getting real.
As a counseling intern at Moxie, I work with individuals who are ready to rewrite their stories or who need help getting through their current ones. I bring curiosity, presence, and a wide-open mind to every session. While I have a natural connection with women going through major life transitions, new chapters, career pivots, endings that don’t feel fair, or beginnings that feel too big, I value the opportunity to work with people from all walks of life. Each client helps shape the therapist I’m becoming, and I don’t take that lightly.
My approach is person-centered, trauma-informed, and built on mutual respect. I value courage, creativity, and empathy. I’m not afraid to sit with the messy middle. I won’t slap a silver lining on your pain, but I will help you understand it, move through it, and grow stronger because of it. My background in public leadership, music, and storytelling shapes how I show up in the therapy room: authentic, grounded, creative, curious, and real.
Therapy doesn’t have to be stiff or clinical. It can be honest. It can be empowering. It can even be kind of funny. Let’s figure out what healing looks like for you, on your terms, in your time.
“People start to heal the moment they feel heard.”
